What SIETAR Nederland does
The name stands for Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research. Those four words — education, training, research and the network between them — are the four pillars of the association.
Our members
Who our members are, and what they work on
Members of SIETAR NL are trainers, researchers, educators and consultants. They work on diversity and inclusion, on developing intercultural competences, on depolarisation, and on countering racism and exclusion.
That work rarely fits inside a single discipline. Which is why the association is interdisciplinary: research, education and training come together here instead of existing side by side.
Network
Members across the country, from education to business. You meet colleagues from universities and universities of applied sciences, from training agencies, and from organisations working on diversity and inclusion.
Expertise
Where research and practice meet. Researchers and practitioners sit in the same room here, and that is the point: what is studied in the lecture hall is tested in the training room.
Development
Workshops, lectures and peer supervision. Gatherings where you hold your own work up to the light, with people who know that work from the inside.
