De Sietar NL film -en boekclub is een feit
Zeker in deze onzekere tijd, waarin wij elkaar niet in persoon kunnen ontmoeten, zien wij dat de behoefte om elkaar te zien wel degelijk toeneemt. Daarom heeft Sietar NL de film -en boekclub leven ingeblazen om op een gemakkelijke, laagdrempelige manier elkaar te zien en te spreken. Het geeft je de kans jouw Sietar collega’s vaker te zien en te spreken over thema’s die ons inspireren, die ons interesseren en – niet minder belangrijk – waar we veel plezier aan hebben beleefd.
Wat is precies de bedoeling?
Elkaar ontmoeten en het gesprek aangaan over een boek, artikel, film, documentaire, serie, etc. dat een (inter-)cultureel thema betreft. De sessies zullen geen vast format hebben, maar bieden de aanwezigen de mogelijkheid welke richting dan ook in te gaan.
De eerste sessie zal gaan over de verfilming van het boek ‘The White Tiger’, een film over een arme Indiase chauffeur die een sprong wil maken over de enorme kloof tussen arm en rijk.De film is op Netflix te zien. Stuur een e-mail naar communicatie@sietar.nl als je je wilt registeren!

The Sietar NL film -and book club is a fact
Especially in these uncertain times, where we are unable to meet each other in person, we notice an increasing desire to do so. That is why Sietar NL has set up a film -and bookclub to offer you the chance to easily meet with your Sietar colleagues and discuss topics that you are interested in, that inspire you, and what you truly enjoyed reading or watching.
What can you expect?
Online meetings where you can see and talk with fellow Sietar-ians about a certain book, film, documentary, series, etc. that depict an (inter-)cultural topic. These sessions won’t have a fixed format, but leave it to the participants to choose the overall course of the session.
The first session will focus on the film ‘The White Tiger’ (based on the book with the same title), a film about a poor Indian taxidriver who is eager to fill the gap between rich and poor. You can watch the movie on Netflix. Please send an e-mail to communicatie@sietar.nl if you want to register!
